Receive transfers with the Business Account*

Receiving money works like a typical bank transfer, you just need to provide your account number and routing number.

  1. Sign into your SumUp Dashboard, then select the “Business Account” tab on the left of the page.

  2. Click "Account".

  3. From here you can check and copy your SumUp Business Account's details.

Please allow up to 1-2 business days for the money to appear in your account.

Check transfer details

Once set up, you can quickly and easily check the status of your Business Account* transfers. Here's how it's done.

  1. Sign into your SumUp Dashboard, then tap "Business Account" in the left-hand panel.

  2. Select a payment to view its details, including its status:

  • Upcoming - payment is upcoming

  • Processing - your payment is in progress

  • Unsuccessful - payment has failed

  • Successful - payment has been successfully taken

From here, you can click "Download statement" to download confirmation of your transfer.

Important

If a payment fails, you may need to contact your creditor to arrange replacement payment. You can also learn more about what causes transfers to fail.

Cancel upcoming transfers

Need to stop an upcoming transfer? You can cancel recurring payments and stop scheduled transfers before the money ever leaves your Business Account*.

Cancel a single payment

  1. Sign in to your SumUp Dashboard, then tap "Business Account" in the left-hand navigation panel.

  2. Expand the upcoming payments section below your balance amount.

  3. Select the payment you want to cancel and then click "Cancel this payment".

  4. Hit "Cancel payment" to confirm the cancellation of this payment.

Recover a transfer

Once confirmed, you can only recover transfers by mistake with the consent of the recipient. Payment disputes must be settled separately.

Cancel all future payments

  1. Sign in to your SumUp Dashboard, then tap "Business Account" in the left-hand navigation panel.

  2. Expand the upcoming payments section below your balance amount.

  3. Select a payment in the series you want to cancel and then click "Manage scheduled payment".

  4. Click "Cancel future payments".

  5. Hit "Cancel" to confirm the cancellation of all future payments in this schedule.

Note:

Canceling payments without your creditor’s prior approval could result in them applying penalties.

Schedule a transfer

Set up recurring payments or schedule transfers to be sent at a later date with the SumUp Business Account* and take the stress out of making payments.

  1. Sign in to your SumUp Dashboard, then tap the "Business Account" tab in the left-hand navigation panel.

  2. Click "Send money".

  3. Choose an existing recipient or tap "New recipient" and enter the recipient's information. You can use the "Save recipient" toggle to add contacts to your contact list.

  4. Enter the transfer amount and click the "Schedule this payment" toggle and choose between:

    • Once - enter the date you wish to send your one-time transfer

    • Weekly - enter a start date and optionally an end date to send the amount each week

    • Monthly - enter a start date and optionally an end date to send the amount each month

  5. Hit "Next" to view a transfer summary. Tap "Confirm payment" if everything looks accurate.

  6. Access your SumUp App and confirm the transfer with your password.

You’ll receive a reminder of the upcoming scheduled payment a few days before it’s automatically processed. You can check upcoming transfer statuses or cancel a payment or series of payments at any time through your SumUp App or Dashboard.
