A transaction status indicates whether a transaction has been successful or failed. This article explains where and how to identify these transactions.

View A Transaction Status

When using SumUp you’ll receive live confirmation as to whether a transaction was successful or not. You can check a transaction’s status through your SumUp Dashboard at sumup.me and the SumUp App.

To view your transactions through the SumUp iOS App, click on the Sales icon () in the navigation menu at the bottom of the screen. Within the Sales tab, select Transactions on the left-hand side to view a complete list of transactions for that account. All successful transactions will be marked with a green checkmark on the right-hand side, while failed transactions will be marked with a red cross  .

Select an individual transaction to see the transaction details, including the Transaction Code and Card Information. Click on the three grey dots in the top right corner of the transaction to send a receipt, show the transaction on the map, or refund the transaction.

To view your transactions through your SumUp Dashboard, log in with your email and password. Select the Sales tab from the left-hand side menu to view the overview of all your sales.

If there is a green checkmark written next to the transaction’s total amount, your transaction was successful. If you want more in-depth information around the transaction, click on the transaction itself and a “Details” page will open.

You can also filter for all successful sales by choosing “Successful” underneath the Status filter at the top of the Sales page.

Failed Transaction

If a transaction fails, either through a declined card, through a timeout or because the Bluetooth connection was faulty, your SumUp App will notify you in real-time.  The transaction will still be listed in your sales history but with a red cross next to the transaction total.

To ensure the highest level of security, SumUp cancels every transaction that is not completed within a specific time frame (timeout).
