Attaching and detaching your printer
To start using your Pro Printer, attach it to your Pro Card Reader by sliding it in and pressing gently until you hear a click. If you need to detach the printer later, just press the button on the front while pulling the card reader up, as seen on the image below:
Printing receipts
You can choose between printing on-demand or automatic printing after every transaction. You can change your settings at any time:
First, go to "Settings" in the menu.
Then select "Printer".
Choose "Auto-print receipts".
Then switch it "On" or "Off".
If “Auto-print receipts” is switched on, the printing will begin right after you see the “Payment approved” message.
If it’s switched off, you'll see the receipt options screen first, and the receipt will only be printed if you select “Print receipt”.
Important
In order to print a receipt after a transaction, the printer needs to be attached to your card reader prior to entering the amount and pressing the charge button. If the printer is attached after a transaction has started, printing will not be possible.
You can print a receipt at any time from your Sales History:
Select the transaction.
Then select the “Receipt” option.
Here you can choose to either print the receipt or send it via email/SMS.
Once the receipt is printed, tear it off according to the instructions shown on the image below:
Note: In case the paper is torn incorrectly, you may see an error stating that the printer is out of paper. In order to continue:
Push open the lid.
Pull out some paper.
Close the lid again.
Replacing the paper roll
There are 3 paper rolls included in the box (1 inserted in the printer and 2 extra). The size of the paper roll is 57 mm in width and 30 mm in diameter.
When the printer is out of paper, you'll see a message on the display of your card reader. As the paper begins to run out, red lines will start to appear on the printed receipt. In order to replace the paper roll:
Push open the lid.
Insert a new paper roll as shown on the image below.
Close the lid again.
Charging cradle
An additional feature of the Pro Printer is that it also works as a charging cradle. When the printer is plugged into a power supply and the card reader is attached to it, both the printer and the reader will be charged.
When charging, use the adapter included in the package. If you need to use a 3rd party adapter, ensure that it supports USB C to USB C charging and fulfills the following voltage and amperage criteria: 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A.
Using an adapter which is not in accordance with these specs may damage the printer.
To charge the printer, plug the cable in as shown on the image below and connect it to the power supply:
While charging, you’ll see an LED on the printer next to the USB C plug.
Red LED: The battery is being charged.
Green LED: The battery is fully charged.
To check the battery level of your printer, follow these steps:
Insert your Pro Card Reader into the printer.
Go to “Menu”.
Select “Settings”.
Select “Printer”.
