Your business details, as well as your personal details, must always be up to date because this information is used to verify your identity. To amend your information, here are some instructions.

To change your bank account details, follow our step-by-step guide here.
Change email address
If you want to change the email address linked to your SumUp Account, please send an email to our Support team. The email should come from the original email address you used to register with us and should contain your new email address. We will then change it and send you a confirmation to your new email address.

If this is not possible, for example, if you don’t have access to your old email account, you can send your request to us directly from your dashboard. Once this is changed, you will receive an email confirmation.

Change phone number
In order to change your business or mobile phone number, please send an email request to our Support team. We will amend the number you wish to have changed and notify you once it's done. Please make sure you state which number you wish to have changed.

Note: A change in your mobile phone number won’t affect your card reader or your transactions in any way. We only need your mobile number to contact you.

Personal details

Our Support team will help you keep your personal data up to date.

Change personal address
If you want to change your address, we ask you to send us a document containing your new address. The document should not be older than 6 months. Please submit one of the following with your current address displayed via email: a copy of utility bill, council tax, electricity or stationary-phone bill or any official letter.
As soon as we have received your proof of address, we will change your address accordingly and send you a confirmation.

Note: You may blacken the text body to protect your personal information.
Change personal details
To amend or correct your personal details, we need a photo of your ID (both front and back), driver’s license (both front and back) or passport via email. Please make sure that all the information is clearly visible.
In case of a name change, you can also send a deed poll or marriage certificate.
As soon as we have received your document, we will change your details accordingly and send you a confirmation.
Change receipt information
Your receipts display your company contact details. SumUp allows its sole traders to amend the receipt information to not display their full personal address. Please contact our Support team to request such changes.

If you would like to add your business logo to the receipts, please send a file (JPEG, PNG, BMP) no larger than 10 MB via email to our Support team. We are happy to upload your logo.

Should you be legally obliged to add your tax ID to the receipt, simply send us your tax ID (xxxx/xxxx/xxx) via email and we will add it to your receipt.

You will receive a confirmation of any changes done via email.

Business details

Keeping business details up to date is not only crucial for your customers' receipts but also a legal requirement. SumUp will support you to ensure that your business information is correct.

Change business name or address
Business with a legal type other than sole trader:
To change the business name or address of your SumUp account, we need a copy of your official company registration document (with the requested business name or address on it). Please send a copy to our Support team via email. We will then change the name in our database accordingly.

Sole trader:
You can request changing the business name of your SumUp account via email. To change your business address, simply send us a copy of a supplier’s invoice or a link to an online presence such as a website with a legal notice or a professional Facebook page. We will confirm the change via email accordingly.
Change company signatory
To change the signatory of a company's SumUp account, please send us the ID (both front and back) of an executive of the company, as stated in the business registration and a POA in the name of the new signatory signed by the aforementioned executive via email. Once this is changed, you will receive an email confirmation.
Change the legal type
Changing the legal type will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please send us your new company registration documents via email and state the reason for this change. We will confirm the change via email.

Note: Please be aware, that we may ask you for additional documents.
Add your VAT
We are happy to add your VAT information once you have provided our Support team with it via email. We will confirm the amendment via email.

Note: Your VAT starts with a 2 letter country code followed by 10 digits.

Good to know

Close your SumUp account

If you want to close or delete your SumUp Account, please send an email to our Support team, as only they can close your account for you. Please clearly state whether you wish to close or delete you SumUp Account.

Note: Make sure you have saved all the necessary payout reports in advance.
