Connect your Apple iOS device

Important

Please make sure, that there is Bluetooth connection between your smartphone/tablet and the card reader before opening the SumUp App.

If you need help with establishing a Bluetooth connection between your device and your card reader, follow this Apple Guide here.

  1. Open the SumUp App and log in with the same credentials you used with payleven.

  2. The home screen will open. Tap on “Account” in the top left corner and open “Payment Methods” in the menu that opens.

  3. Choose “payleven” as your card reader and follow the instructions in the app.

    Note

Do you have a contactless reader from SumUp? Select “Air” as your card reader and follow the steps on your screen.

  4. Wait until the app has found the card reader and tap “Connect”. You might need to compare the serial number of your Card Reader. You will see the message “Set as default PIN reader” in the app. Once you get a notification in the app that says that the connection was successfully established, you can start accepting card payments.
We recommend doing a test transaction of £1.00.

  5. Once the transaction was successful, you can send a receipt to your customer via email or text message.
