Download the SumUp App on an iOS device

If you own an iPhone or iPad, open the Apple App Store on your device and search for “SumUp”. You’ll see the free SumUp App named “SumUp - Credit Card Reader” with this icon: SumUp-Apple.png

Alternatively, click here for the direct link to our app in the Apple App Store. Click “Get”, and the app will download to your phone.

Update the iOS SumUp App

With iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, apps and games that you download from the App Store are automatically updated by default. For anyone with iOS 12 or earlier, here is how to manually update the SumUp App on your iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Apple App Store. Tap Today at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.

Scroll down to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to the SumUp App (SumUp-Apple.png) to start the update.

Download the SumUp App on an Android device

If you own an Android device, please open the Google Play Store on your device and search for “SumUp”. You will find our free app named “ SumUp - Credit Card Reader” with this icon: SumUp-Android.png. You can also click here for the direct link to our app in the Google Play Store. Then click Install.

Update the Android SumUp App Manually

  • Open the Google Play Store
  • Tap “Menu” and then “My apps & games”
  • Apps with an update available are labeled "Update." You can also search for the SumUp App (SumUp-Android.png
  • Tap Update

Update the Android SumUp App Automatically

You can set up your Android device to automatically update the SumUp App using the following steps: 

  • Open the Google Play Store 
  • Tap “Menu” and then “My apps & games”
  • Select the SumUp App (SumUp-Android.png
  • Tap “More”
  • Tap “Enable auto-update”
  • Moving forward, the app will update automatically when updates are available. To turn off automatic updates, uncheck the box
