Sending money

You can send money to other GBP accounts with ease using FPS (Fast Payment Scheme). You can’t make transfers to accounts in foreign currencies however you can make card payments with your SumUp Card anywhere that accepts Mastercard.


3DS/SCA must be enabled to make transfers. Here’s how to enable SCA.

  1. On your SumUp profile, open the "Business Account" tab from the left side of the screen.

  2. Click "Transfer" in the "Transfer funds" box in the bottom right of the screen.

  3. In the popup, select whether to transfer to the bank account associated with your SumUp profile or to another account.

  4. Enter the recipient's information, add the transfer amount, and then click "Continue".

  5. A summary will appear, hit "Confirm" if everything looks right or "Edit" to make a change.

  6. Access your SumUp App and confirm the transfer with your password.

  1. On the SumUp App, tap "Account" on the Home screen.

  2. Select “Transfer funds”.

  3. Choose whether you wish to transfer to the bank account associated with your SumUp profile or another account.

  4. Enter your recipient's details and tap "Continue".

  5. Add transfer amount and then tap "Transfer" to continue or "Edit" to make a change.

  6. Enter your password and hit "Confirm".

Once you’ve made your transfer, it will be immediately visible in the “History” section of the Business Account tab. The money will arrive in the recipient's account in 1-2 days.


Be aware that your Business Account is currently unable to process transfers made using CHAPS. Any such transfers will be returned to the sender.

Receiving money

Receiving money works like a typical bank transfer. You can find information on how to check your account details here. Please allow up to 1-3 business days for the money to appear in your account.

As with sending, you can only receive transfers from other GBP accounts.
