Inform our Support team as soon as possible so we can place a block on your card reader to prevent fraudulent use.

Is my data secure?

All transaction data is immediately encrypted during the payment process, meaning only basic transaction information is saved on your card reader, phone or tablet.

  • Merchant ID

  • Business name and address

  • Sales history and sales location

None of the above information represents a high risk of fraud. In fact, no more customer data is visible on your card reader than on a standard receipt.

Never share your password

All your data is password protected. If you believe your password has been compromised, be sure to change your password immediately.

How do I replace my card reader?

When ordering a replacement card reader on the SumUp shop, be sure to keep a copy of the invoice to send to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
