Introduction

With a Delivery integration today, the request is sent to all iPads with sound and visual alerts. If the auto accept is on, one random iPad will accept the request, and if it is off, one user will have to accept it manually from one device. 

Potential issues

  • The request could be sent on a random iPad and the user dedicated to delivery might not be alerted. 

  • Unuseful disruption from the delivery request on all iPads

  • Risk of creating data inconsistency by accepting one request on two iPads at the same time

What does the Master iPad for Delivery

This module is dedicated to Delivery and Click and Collect. 

Every request will be sent and manage on the Master iPad: 

  • All visual and sound alerts 

  • Requests – With auto acceptation

  • Requests – Without auto acceptation

How to activate iPad Master for Delivery

  1. You have to go in your Back Office > Configuration > Your Modules > Store settings > Master iPad for Delivery / Click & Collect

  2. Activate the module

Set up the Master iPad for Delivery

  1. Log into the iPad you have designated as the Master iPad for your deliveries.  “Remember that this iPad must remain on, with the Tiller app permanently in the foreground”

  2. Upon the Device Selection pop-up, select the Device with the “Master iPad” mention. 

And that’s it. From now on, your Master iPad will be the only one that receives the delivery notifications and accept them.
