What is a licence?
In order to use the Point of Sale Pro app on a device, you must have at least one licence. The number of licences you have defines the number of devices you can use with POS Pro at the same time— this was defined when you signed your contract. Each device must be connected to a licence to be operational.
Eg.: I have two licences → I can use two devices at the same time
How to connect a licence to a device
To connect a device to a licence, you must go to the POS Pro app and enter your details.
You have one licence: When you connect your device to your POS account, your licence will be automatically assigned to that device and you will be able to start using it right away.
You have multiple licences: When you connect your device to your POS account, you will have to select an available licence for that device and click on "Connect" to start using the POS app. If all licences are already assigned to a device, you’ll need to disconnect one of them to be able to connect.
How to know which licence your devices are connected to
To find out which licence is assigned to which devices, just head to the POS Pro app and in the top-left corner you’ll find:
Licence name
Username
Account identifier
What does it mean if all my licences are used?
If all of your licences are already assigned to a device, you will not be able to connect any additional devices. You will have to either disconnect a licence from one of the devices or purchase an additional licence.
How to disconnect a licence from a device
Before disconnecting a licence from a device, make sure you are connected to the internet. This will ensure that this device’s data is properly recorded —otherwise, you may lose some information.
From the connected device: Open the POS Pro app, go to Settings and click on the "Disconnect" button at the bottom-left of the screen. By confirming, you will disconnect the device from your account. The available licence can be reconnected to this device if needed or used by another device.
From the licence allocation screen: just click on the "Disconnect" button located on the right side of the licence name you want to disconnect from.
From your back office: Go to your POS Pro back office, then to Settings > Devices > then disconnect from the licence by clicking on the "Disconnect" button.

What if a licence appears as connected when it is not?
If a licence appears to be still connected when it shouldn't be, don't worry. Just disconnect it and reconnect it to your device.
