SumUp is authorised as a Payment Institution by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), therefore we have to verify yourself as the individual registered and as the main contact for your business.
For security reasons, we are required to verify your account. You will receive an email from our Onboarding Team requesting the following document:
- A scan or photo of your proof of ID (e.g. your passport’s picture page or both sides of your driver’s license)
Please upload the document directly in your SumUp Account at sumup.me. You can find your Account Area in the top right corner of your SumUp Account. Choose “Account” and then click “Documents”.
Here, you can upload your ID documentation to the section "Legal identification". Once uploaded, our team will verify them and get back to you via email.
Please be aware that the document must be smaller than 5 MB. In case you can’t upload the document or the file is too large, please send it via email to email@example.com.
Alternatively to a scan, you can take a photo of the documents with your smartphone.
